Koa Release

Thank you for exploring our Koa Release. In the following sections, we aim to provide you with an overview of the exciting new features enabled by this update.

The Release is available from February 2025.

Technical Details

The Koa Release is based on Microsoft Business Central Version 25. As a result, there are adjustments to the system requirements. Please refer to the complete list of system requirements for BC25.

The only relevant change is that an SQL Server with Full-text and Semantic Extractions for Search feature is needed.

The Koa Version is based on Microsoft Business Central (BC) Version 25. This version introduces numerous new features for you to check out. You can find the full list here.

New Timber Features

In this section, we present a list of highlights. Additionally, you will find the complete changelog with all timber changes at the end of this page.

EUDR

All companies involved in importing, trading, or producing items containing timber are affected by the EUDR legislation. One requirement of the EUDR is to track the origin of timber within the supply chain using a reference number.

In this release, we have expanded the eudr beta version with a lot of exiting new features.

• Added API to connect to EUIS/Traces to submit Due Diligence Statements and retrieve Reference Numbers
• Added Producer Structure, GeoJson Viewer and Commodities
• Added Report to print EUDR References and added section in sales shipment document
• Added Country of Activity and Country of Entry to the Due Diligence Statement
• Added producer and production places
• Improved the link between the Due Diligence Statement and Sales/Purchase Documents
• Added Reference Tracking and EUDR Due Diligence Statement Link for Production Orders

OnRoute

The OnRoute Module provides features for streamlining delivery operations and communication, such as digitally signing delivery notes via a web based application.

In this release, the App has been expanded significantly. The most exciting changes are:

• Added the possibility to directly post and send the invoices if a delivery note is signed without any problems
• Added new action in the route allocation to upload the tour manually to the OnRoute website
• Added a new overview page for the document tour information
• Added the possibility to upload sales order with the pre-shipment document printed
• Added the possibility to direct create a complaint in the complaint management module
• Added Tour Driver View

Setup Wizard

The OnBoarding Process for new customers can be challenging. To make this process easier, we have added a Setup Wizard. This Wizard will guide you through the initial setup of your environment. It will help you to configure the most important settings and get you started with Timber.

In this release, we have expanded the timber wizard with new settings. Furthermore, we have added the same process to the certification module.

• Added a Setup Wizard to the Certification Module
• Added Import specific settings to Setup Wizard and Demo Module
• Added Option to directly open the Module Management to Setup Wizard
• Added round measurement to setup wizard
• Added the possibility to create default shipment methods with setup wizard

  • Added new check in combine shipment post and print that an error is logged if no email is found

  • Added Expiration to Certificate Points
  • Added certification texts on the comment lines for transfer documents
  • Added setting on certificate wood table to activate the check on check per customer, vendor and workcenter per certificate instead of all certificates

• Disposition and Route Planning

  • Added route allocation detail factbox to present totals
  • Added two actions to update multiple selected lines for the Seen field in the disposition planning
  • Added new fields for default filters on the Disposition user setup

• Manufacturing

  • Added the possibility to enter the total run time for a production order routing group
  • Added support for a specific setup costs for time bases standard tasks

  • Added Feature to use Standard Warehouse Posting Logic to be able to use "Auto Post Non-Invt. via Whse." setting
  • Added new Feature to use the default BC logic for creating picks

  • Added table to archive the Pre/AfterText for sales documents
  • Added archived Quotes/Orders to Customer Sales History
  • Added new action to hide docbox documents
  • Added the on hold field in the dispute code to set that value based on the on hold value from the dispute code
  • Added the field dispute code for posting the purchase invoice so that it is set in the vendor ledger entry
  • Added check to skip the requested date check if the promised date is already assigned
  • Added header information to the vendor purchase history
  • Added a error message if the expected receipt date in the purchase order is later than the planned shipment date of the connected sales line
  • Added new setup to allow the transfer of Execution Texts to posted sales and purchase documents
  • Changed the unit price per pu lookup on the sales line to show all customer prices
  • Added Show on Map Action for ship-to addresses in sales order and sales return order

Automatically Activated Features

The following acadon Features are now officially available. For a list of MS activated features, follow this link.

• Nonstock Item Selection by Source: This Feature is now generally available and is part of the timber app.
• Extended Parcel Selection View Type with Transfer: This Feature is now generally available and is part of the timber app.
• Extended Create Purchase Quote Feature: This Feature is now generally available and is part of the timber app.

Update Checklist

This is a major update and may contain breaking changes. Some of these changes require manual actions. Please carefully review this checklist for each environment before proceeding with the update.

Important

If you upgrade from earlier Versions, please read the update checklist/breaking changes of all versions that you skip as well. In this list you will only find the changes that are relevant if you update from Juglans to Koa.

Required Actions

• For customers that are using the acadon_WMSExtended App, please make sure to test the new version properly before updating. The new version contains a lot of changes to the acadon_WMSExtended App.

Recommended Actions

• Use Upcoming Features and provide Feedback. To do so, open the acadon Upcoming Features page and use the Enable action. In the next major (August 2025), the following features will be activated:
