PPWR Setup

acadon PPWR provides the master data and fields you use to classify your items with regard to the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The scope is deliberately kept to a minimum: a list of the permitted materials and a few additional classification fields on items, item variants and item categories.

The master data setup described here forms the basis for the more advanced features of acadon PPWR. Based on the classified items, you create and manage the technical documentation and print the EU declaration of conformity and the packaging component compliance declaration from it.

How to set up acadon PPWR

1. Create the PPWR materials. The fastest way is the guided assisted setup, which inserts all standardized materials according to EU Decision 97/129/EC with a single click. For more information, see PPWR Materials.
2. Classify your item categories. When you enter a material and the PPWR indicators on an item category, they act as a template for the related items.
3. Classify your items and, where required, individual item variants. For more information, see Item Classification.

Tip

Start with the item categories. This way you define the PPWR details only once per category instead of maintaining them on every single item.
