Drawings
The Drawings feature allows you to attach technical drawings, specifications, and other documents to a BOM Calculation Template. These files are stored centrally and can be configured to display at different stages of the production process.
The Drawings list shows all files linked to the current template. From this list, you can open, delete, or manage individual drawings.
Fields and Options

| Description | The name of the drawing, automatically derived from the file name. |
| Selection | Controls when the drawing is displayed. Variant makes the drawing available when viewing the item variant. Order makes it available on the production order. |
| File Name | The original file name of the uploaded document. |
| File Type | The file extension (e.g., PDF, PNG), determined automatically from the file name. |
How to Add a Drawing
- Choose the
icon, enter BOM Calculation Template List, and then choose the related link. - Open the BOM Calculation Template to edit.
- In the action bar, choose the Drawings action.
- Drag and drop one or more files from your file browser into the Drop Zone area on the page.
- Set the Selection field for each drawing to define when it should be displayed.
Tip
The drag-and-drop upload copies the file into the system. The original file on your computer is not modified or deleted.
Note
The Drop Zone and file upload are only available on draft versions (no version code). Versioned templates display drawings in read-only mode.
How to Open or Delete a Drawing
- To view a drawing, select the line and choose the Open action. The file is downloaded to your local computer and opened in the default application for the file type.
- To remove a drawing, select the line and delete it from the list.
