When the acadon packaging app is installed for the first time, a guided setup wizard helps configure the essential settings. The Packaging Core Setup wizard walks through the basic configuration steps so that all required settings are properly initialized.
How to Run the Setup Wizard
Choose the icon, enter Assisted Setup, and then choose the related link.
Locate the Packaging Core Setup entry and choose it to start the wizard.
On the welcome page, choose Next to proceed.
On the configuration page, enable the desired options:
Init Packaging Setup - Initializes number series and default values
Init Base Unit of Measure - Creates standard units of measure
Choose Finish to apply the selected settings.
Init Packaging Setup
When enabled, the wizard creates the following number series:
Packing Good numbers
Packaging Receipt numbers
Additional packaging-specific number series
The wizard also initializes default captions for user-defined custom fields 1 through 8 on packing goods.
Init Base Unit of Measure
When enabled, the wizard creates the base units of measure Meter (m) and Millimeter (mm), sets up the unit of measure calculation with length, width, and thickness dimensions, and configures surface area units.
The Default Package Unit of Measure and Default Packing Good Unit of Measure are configured in the Packaging Setup accordingly.
Packaging Setup
After completing the wizard, detailed configuration is available on the Packaging Setup page.
Choose the icon, enter Packaging Setup, and then choose the related link.

Specifies the date formula to calculate the start date for the best-selling items listing.
Replace Timber Item Search
Specifies whether the Timber Item Search should be replaced with a faster search.
Allow Document Deletion Before
Specifies if and when posted packaging documents can be deleted. Documents with a posting date on or after this date cannot be deleted.
Default Posting Date
Specifies which date is used as the default posting date on packing documents. Options: Work Date or No Date.
Update Document Date When Posting Date Is Modified
Specifies whether the document date automatically updates when the posting date changes.
