How to demonstrate Complaint Management with the acadon Demo Tool

To provide easier ways to test and demonstrate Complaint Management, acadon offers a demo tool with demo data. To enable the tool and create the demo data follow these steps in a Business Central test environment.

Important

Do not use the demo tool in a live environment. The tool will generate demo data which is irreversible.

1. Install the Complaint Management app in your test environment

To make it possible to create demo data for the Complaint Management, you have to make sure Complaint Management is installed in your test environment.

To check if the app is installed, go to Extension Management and see if the checkmark under Is Installed is checked for acadon_Complaint.Management.

Do you not have Complaint Management installed in your test environment? Contact your acadon consultant, they are more than happy to help.

2. First run the Timber Demo Data steps in your test environment

Since the Complaint Management system relies on Timber, it is essential to generate the Timber demo data first. To do so, please follow these steps described in the Timber Demo Tool

3. Generate Complaint Management demo data

Once the corresponding steps have been run for Timber, it is now possible to generate the demo data for the Complaint Management module. In order to generate the data, please do the following steps:

  1. In the acadon Demo Tool, select the Complaint Management Base Setup for the category Complaint Management.
  2. Click on Generate in the top menu.
  3. Wait until the data is generated

4. Demonstrate Complaint Management

Now that the demo data has been created, you can easily test and showcase the Business Functionality from the Complaint Management.
