Users and Permissions

Portal users are created in Business Central and assigned roles that determine which sections and functions the respective customer can see in the portal.

Assigning Multiple Customers to a User

A portal user can be assigned to multiple customers. In the portal, the user sees the currently selected customer and can switch between their assigned customers via the Switch Customer function. All views are automatically filtered to the selected customer.

Permission Roles

Each user is assigned a role that determines their base permissions:

Role	Description
Administrator	Full access to all sections and administration.
Internal	Access to invoices, packing goods, packages, projects, and photos.
Customer	Default role for customers — includes all customer functions including accepting quotes, blocking packing goods, and logistics data.

Individual Permissions

In addition to the role, individual permissions can be specifically granted or revoked:

Block Packing Goods	Blocking and unblocking packing goods.

View Photos	Photos & Documents section.
View Shipments	Overview of posted shipments.
View Warehouse Receipts	Overview of posted warehouse receipts.

View Container Orders	Overview of posted container orders.
