Copy BOM Calculation Template
The Copy Template action on the BOM Calculation Template Card allows you to duplicate the configuration of an existing template into the current template. This is useful when creating a new template that is similar to an existing one, saving time and reducing manual effort.
How to Copy a Template
- Choose the
icon, enter BOM Calculation Template, and then choose the related link. - Open the template card that should receive the copied data.
- Choose the Copy Template action.
- A list of all existing BOM Calculation Templates opens. Select the source template you want to copy from, then choose OK.
- A confirmation dialog asks you to agree that the current template data will be replaced. Confirm to proceed.
Warning
Copying a template replaces all existing data in the current template. This includes header settings, lines, properties, variables, the routing template, and matrices. This action cannot be undone.
What Gets Copied
The copy operation transfers the complete template configuration from the source to the target:

| Properties | All property assignments used in the template |

| Matrices | All matrix BOMs and their line data |
Tip
You can also copy from a specific version of a template. This is helpful when you want to base a new template on a particular version rather than the current working state.
