Set up Order Date for Sales Documents

When converting sales quotes to orders or blanket orders, you can configure whether the order date should use the original quote's order date or the current workdate.

This setup is useful when you want to ensure that all orders created from quotes use the current date, regardless of when the quote was created.

To set up order date behavior

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Wood Setup (Sales), and choose the related link.

  2. On the Wood Setup (Sales) page, navigate to the General FastTab.

  3. Select the Use Workdate as Order Date checkbox if you want the system to use the current workdate as the order date when converting quotes to orders or blanket orders.

Tip

When the Use Workdate as Order Date field is enabled, orders and blanket orders created from quotes will always use the current workdate, ensuring consistency with when the conversion actually occurred.

Note

This setting affects both:

  • Converting sales quotes to sales orders
  • Converting sales quotes to blanket orders
