Change Prices for Specific Sales Types

With a Calculation Matrix it is possible to define how prices for different sales types should be changed. The calculation matrix is assigned to calculation groups which can be assigned to items or item categories. With these settings it is possible to define the price changes in detail to reduce manual price adjustments.

The following steps are based on the new price logic.

To setup calculation matrix

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Calculationgroups, and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the New action to create a new calculationgroup.
  3. Enter a code and a description.
  4. Choose the Calculation Matrix action.
  5. Create entries to define the price changes for specific sales types. In the Sales Type field and Sales Code field define for which sales type the adjustment should be done. In the Raise Type field, Standard Raise (LCY) field and Standard Raise in % field define the type of adjustment in percent or amount.

To assign calculation groups

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Items, and then choose the related link.
  2. Select an item and choose the Edit action.
  3. On the Prices & Sales FastTab, select the Calculation Group Code field.
  4. Choose a calculation group.
  5. Close the page.
Tip

It is also possible to define the calculation group on the item variant and the item category. The order is item variant < item < item category.

To use calculation groups adjustments for price suggestions

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Sales Price Lists, and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the New action to create a new sales price list.
  3. Choose the Suggest Lines action.
  4. If necessary, define some filters, add an adjustment factor and a rounding method. To enable the calculation matrix, select the Use Calculation Group check box.
  5. Choose the OK button.
Tip

It is possible to combine the default adjustment factor and the calculation groups. In this case the default adjustment factor is considered first and then calculation group adjustments are applied.

The Use Calculation Group check box is also available for the Copy Lines action in the price worksheet.
