Purchase Length Dividing

Purchase length dividing provides a setup which helps to create and control blanket purchase orders for items with different lengths.

After setting up Purchase Length Dividing Codes, follow these steps to use them in Blanket Purchase Orders.

Divide lengths in a Blanket Purchase Order

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Blanket Purchase Orders, and then choose the related link.
  2. On the Blanket Purchase Orders page, click on New in the top menu.
  3. On the General FastTab, add the name of the vendor and fill in all mandatory fields.
  4. Create a new line, select an Item and set the Quantity.
  5. Click on Length Dividing Lines in the Lines menu.
  6. Select a Purchase Length Dividing Code and click OK.
Note

After selecting a Purchase Length Dividing Code, the quantity will be divided by setup and shown in the Purchase Line Length Dividing Lines.

Close Length Dividing Lines that do not need to be purchased anymore

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Blanket Purchase Orders, and then choose the related link.
  2. On the Blanket Purchase Orders page, open the relevant Blanket Purchase Order.
  3. Select a line with related Purchase Length Dividing lines.
  4. Click on Length Dividing Lines in the Lines menu.
  5. Select a length that does not need to be purchased anymore.
Note

It is possible to select multiple lines.

  1. Click Close Lines to change the Outstanding Qty. and Outstanding Piece to zero.

Post length dividing

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Blanket Purchase Orders, and then choose the related link.
  2. On the Blanket Purchase Orders page, open the relevant Blanket Purchase Order.
  3. On the Blanket Purchase Order page, click Make Order under Home in the top menu.
  4. On the dialog page that opens, choose Yes, to create a new Purchase Order.
  5. On the dialog page that opens, choose Yes, to open the created Purchase Order.
  6. Post the Purchase Order.
  7. Back in the Blanket Purchase Order, open the Length Dividing Lines by selecting the relevant Line and clicking on Length Dividing Lines in the Lines menu, and check the outstanding and received fields.
