Check item availability on release

When releasing a sales order, you can check if the items are available. If the items are not available, the sales order cannot be released if the check is activated in the Wood Setup page. This prevents sales orders from being released if the items are not available so that there can't be any conflicts in the dispostion planning.

Setup check item availability on release

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Wood Setup, and then choose the related link.
  2. Go to the fasttab Notifications.
  3. Activate Check Item Availability on Release field, to enable the check on release of sales orders.
  4. Activate Check Item Avail Doc. Exists to only check sales lines where no related document exists.

Checks that are performed

  • Only checks sales lines of the Document Type Sales Order.
  • Only checks the sales line type Item.
  • Only checks lines with a Qty. to ship greater than 0.
  • Doesn't check lines where the field Drop Shipment is activated.
  • If the field Check Item Avail Doc. Exists is not activated for the sales lines where a transfer order or purchase order line is connected there must be a qty. received bigger or equal to the qty. to ship of the sales line.
  • If the field Check Item Avail Doc. Exists is activated for the sales lines where a transfer order or purchase order line is needed the system checks if a purchase order or transfer order exists for the sales line. If no purchase order or transfer order exists the sales line will be checked for availability.
