PEFC API Integration for Certificate Validation

The PEFC API Integration feature enables automatic validation of customer and vendor certificates against the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) API database. This ensures that certificates are current and valid without manual verification.

Prerequisites

Before setting up the PEFC API integration, ensure you have:

Set up PEFC API Integration

To enable automatic certificate validation through the PEFC API:

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Certificate Setup, and then choose the related link.
  2. On the PEFC API FastTab, select the PEFC certification organisation, in the PEFC Organisation Code field.
  3. Enter your PEFC Client ID obtained from PEFC.
  4. Enter your PEFC Client Secret in the corresponding field.
  5. Enable the PEFC API Enabled toggle.
  6. On the General FastTab, ensure that at least one of the following options is enabled: Check Customer Certification or Check Vendor Certification.

Enter Customer and Vendor Certificates

After configuring the PEFC API integration, you must enter the certificate information for your customers and vendors which should be validated:

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Customer/Vendor/Workcenter Certification, and then choose the related link.
  2. Select New to create a new certificate entry.
  3. In the Option field, select whether this is a Customer, Vendor, or Workcenter certificate.
  4. In the Certificate Owner field, select the customer, vendor or workcenter for whom you are entering the certificate.
  5. In the Certificate Code field, select the appropriate certificate code.
  6. Enter the License Code for this customer or vendor.
  7. In the Organization Code field, select the PEFC organisation (this should match the organisation configured in Certificate Setup).
  8. Optionally fill in additional fields and repeat these steps for all customers and vendors that have PEFC certificates.
Note

When PEFC API integration is enabled, the Expiry date will be automatically updated when the certificate is validated. You do not need to enter this manually for PEFC certificates.
