Work with Certificates

Certification Management enables you to comply with the auditing requirements of major timber certificate organizations like FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). It is possible to define Certificates per Item and check Certificates during posting. With that you keep track of the volume of certified timber. The Certificate Description and Logo will be printed on documents for the customer.

After you have set up Certification Management, you can work with Certificates as follows.

Check Certificate Entries

Choose the Search icon, enter Certificate Entries, and then choose the related link.

Note

Posting an Item creates Item Ledger Entries and Certificate Entries. These entries will be used for the calculation of the Remaining Credit and Rolling Average % fields for the Certificate.

Procedure type and valency

During posting, the system checks the Certificate usage. For all procedures, postings can be done if a Certificate Combination exists. Additionally, the valency is checked depending on the Procedure type you have set up for a Certificate.

Transfer system

The posted valency must not be greater than the default item certificate valency.

Credit system

The posted valency must not be greater than the default item certificate valency. Select the Superior selling checkbox on the Certificate Card to disable the verification.

Percentage system

The posted valency must not be greater than the value in the Rolled Average % field on the Certificate Card.
