Document Match Notification

In sales and purchasing processes, it is important to be aware of existing quotes or blanket orders for a specific item. The Show Doc. Match Notification Text field on the Wood setup (Sales) page and the Wood setup (Purchase) page lets you enable notifications that alert you to those documents.

By enabling this field, you see a notification when you validate the "No." field on sales or purchase document lines if related quotes or blanket orders exist. The notification includes actions to open the related documents.

Set up to show the Doc. Match Notification Text

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Wood setup (Sales) or Wood setup (Purchase), and choose the related link.
  2. On the setup card page, in the General FastTab (FastTab), enable the Show Doc. Match Notification Text field.

When the field is enabled, a notification appears during validation of the "No." field on a sales or purchase document if matching quotes or blanket orders exist. The notification shows the Open Quotes action and the Open Blanket Orders action — each action is visible only if the corresponding document type exists.

Additionally, the notification is shown when you validate the Piece field or Quantity field on the Priceinfo Sales page.
