Answering Customer Requests Quickly with the Customer Dashboard
To respond to customer requests on the phone or in the shop are part of the daily tasks of a salesperson in timber trade. Often the requests are about
- Ongoing or posted sales documents
- Prices
- Placing new sales quotes or sales orders
With the customer dashboard requests like these can be answered fast and uncomplicated.
To get an overview of ongoing or posted sales documents of a customer
- Choose the
icon, enter Customer Dashboard, and then choose the related link. - In the Customer No. field, enter number or name of the customer.
Other fields on the customer dashboard page are now filled automatically with important information of the selected customer. In the Sell-to Customer Sales History FactBox you can see the number of ongoing and posted sales documents.
Note
The ongoing and posted documents are filtered on the Sell-to Customer field in the corresponding document. If you need to see documents where the customer was used as bill-to customer you can do that by changing the Sell to / Bill to field.
To respond to a question regarding a specific document
- Choose the
icon, enter Customer Dashboard, and then choose the related link. - In the Customer No. field, enter the number or name of the customer.
- On the Customer Dashboard page, choose the Find Documents action.
- In the Document No. field on the Customer Dashboard Navigate page, enter the number of the document or a part of it.
Note
The Customer Dashboard Navigate page searches in ongoing, archived and posted documents for the entered number of the document and lists all search results.
- Select a document in the list and choose the Show action to open a specific document.
To create a new sales quote
- Choose the
icon, enter Customer Dashboard, and then choose the related link. - In the Customer No. field, enter the number or name of the customer.
- On the Customer Dashboard page, choose the Create Sales Quote action.
A new sales quote for the selected customer is created and opened.
To create a new sales order
- Choose the
icon, enter Customer Dashboard, and then choose the related link. - In the Customer No. field, enter the number or name of the customer.
- On the Customer Dashboard page, choose the Create Sales Order action.
A new sales quote for the selected customer is created and opened.
To give information about item prices
- Choose the
icon, enter Customer Dashboard, and then choose the related link. - In the Customer No. field, enter the number or name of the customer.
- On the Customer Dashboard page, choose the Priceinfo Sales action.
Note
Choose the
icon, enter Priceinfo Sales, and then choose the related link to directly open the Priceinfo Sales page.
- In the Priceinfo Sales page all items are listed. In the Customer Price field, you find the price of the item.
