Create Purchase Quote
The Create Purchase Quote feature allows users to create multiple purchase quotes for various vendors directly from a sales quote. After activating the feature on the acadon Upcoming Features page, users can select the Create Purchase Quote action on a sales quote to initiate the process. The system will prefill vendor information based on the sales quote lines, and users can modify the vendor list as needed. Only one vendor can be designated for the Primary Quote. Upon confirmation, users can choose to view the newly created purchase quotes.
Setup
In the acadon Upcoming Features page the Extend Create Purchase Quote Featue feature needs to be active.
Once the feature is active then, when in the Sales Quote page, the user can select the corresponding action to generate multiple purchase quotes for more than one vendor.
How to generate multiple purchase quotes
- Open any sales quote.
- Click on the Create Purchase Quote action.
- On the new page that is displayed, enter a Purchase Quote Code if you plan to generate the purchase quotes only for a specific set of lines.

Once the page opens it will be prefilled with the vendors that are filled on the sales quote lines in the ACAT Vendor No. field.
- Change or add new vendors into the list
- Select the vendor for which a Primary Quote will be generated.
Note
The Primary Quote can be selected for only one vendor. If you try to enable the option for other vendors, then a error will be thrown.
- Once all the data is filled in the page, click on the OK button.
- After the process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed to the user prompting if the new purchase quotes should be displayed.
- If the user confirms the previous step, then the Purchase Quotes page will open. This instance of the page will contain only the purchase quotes that have been created as result of the current process.
Important
Only sales quote lines which have a Purchasing Code that is Drop Shipment or Special Order can be generated into purchase quote lines.
