Certification Management
The certification management enables you to comply with the auditing requirements of major timber certificate organizations like FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). It is possible to define certificates per item and check certificates during posting. With that you keep track of the volume of certified timber. The certificate description and logo will be printed on reports for the customer.
To setup certification organisation
- Choose the
icon, enter Certification Organisation, and then choose the related link. - Select the New action to create a new certification organisation.
- Enter a new certification organisation information.
- Enter a shortcut value for printing at the certificate statement report.
- Enter a statement footer text and logo for printing in reports.
Note
Choose the Statement Footer Translations action to set up footer text translations for each language.
To setup certificates
- Choose the
icon, enter Certificates (Wood) List, and then choose the related link. - Select the New action to create a new certificate.
- Enter the code for the new certificate in the Code field.
- Fill in the other fields as necessary.
Note
To set up alternative certificates, choose the Related action and then Certificate and Certificate Combinations to open the Certificate Combinations matrix page.
To setup certificate groups
- Choose the
icon, enter Certificate Groups, and then choose the related link. - Select the New action to create a new certificate group.
- Enter code, description and procedure type.
- Optionally, enable superior selling and enter the rolling average period.
Note
The Superior Selling check box can be enabled if you choose the option credit system in the Procedure field. A value can be added in the Rolling Average Period field if you choose the option percentage system in the Procedure field.
To setup certificate assignment
- Choose the
icon, enter Certificate Groups, and then choose the related link. - Select a certificate group.
- Select the New action and then choose Certificate Assignment to create a new assignment.
- Add certificates which are related to the selected certificate group.
To setup a certificate per item
- Choose the
icon, enter Items, and then choose the related link. - On the Items page, choose the Edit action.
- On the Item Card page, on the Wood FastTab, choose the lookup button in the Certificate Group Code field and select an existing certificate group code.
- Choose the lookup button in the Certificate Code field and select an existing certificate code.
- Optionally, select the KOMO, GIP and/or ISPM15 check boxes.
- In the Cert. Product Class field, choose the edit button
and select the cert. product class. - Additionally, select the Strength Grade check box.
To check certificate entries
Choose the
icon, enter Certificate Entries, and then choose the related link.
Note
Posting an item creates item ledger entries and certificate entries. These entries will be used for the calculation of the Remaining Credit field and Rolling Average % field for the certificate.
Procedure type and valency
During posting, the programme checks certificate usage. For all procedures postings can be done if a certificate combination exists. Additionally, the valency is checked.
Transfer system
The posted valency must not be greater than the default item certificate valency.
Credit system
The posted valency must not be greater than the default item certificate valency. Select the Superior selling field to disable the verification.
Percentage system
The posted valency must not be greater than the value in the Rolled Average % field.
