Dimension Synchronization Setup

Use Dimension Synchronization to keep master data and Dimensions aligned when you need to analyze data by a master-data item (for example, Office Staff Member).

Set up Dimension Synchronization

  1. Select the Search icon, enter Dimension Synch. Setup, and choose the related link.

  2. On the page that opens, review the Master Data entries that you can associate with a Dimension.

  3. In the top menu, choose one of the available actions:

    • Init Default Dimensions: This action creates and associates Dimensions for all master-data fields.
    • Change Dimensions: This action opens a page where you select which Dimensions to associate with the Master Data.
    Important

    The Init Default Dimensions action will create the Dimensions for all Master Data. In most cases this is not necessary and therefore it is recommended to use Change Dimensions

After associating Dimensions with Master Data fields, these Dimensions will be synchronized automatically.
