Index Mapping
In the index mapping setup, fixed indexes are linked to fields from the respective table.
Important
We do not recommend extending this setup by yourself, but using the assistance of a consultant.
- Choose the
icon, enter doc.box Table Setup, and then choose the related link. - On the doc.box Table Setup page, choose the Index Mapping action.
The following fields are available:

| Index Type | Indicates the index type. |
| Field No. | Defines the Field No. from the selected table. |
| Field Caption | Displays the description of the table field. Cannot be edited. |
The following indexes are available:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Code 1 | In general, the ID of the underlying table is used (exception: table 81). |
| Code 2 | Contains the second part of an ID. |
| Doc. Type | Contains the document type of the source table. |
| Account Type | Contains the account type of the underlying table. |
| Account No. | The Account number field contains the ID of the customer, vendor, or bank account depending on the underlying table. |
| Comment 1 | Usually a comment is inserted in this field, but for documents such as sales invoices, the name of the invoice recipient is used. |
| Comment 2 | Contains the comment (2) or the posting description of the corresponding record. |
| No. Printed | Shows how often the corresponding data set has been printed. |
| ext Doc. No. | Shows the external document number. |
| Doc. No. | Contains the document number of the corresponding record. |
| Posting Date | Contains the date on which the corresponding record was posted. |
| Contact No. | Contains the contact number of the underlying record. |
