How do I work with the Credit Limit app?
To setup Credit Limit
First, the Credit Limit app needs to be activated and set up.
- Choose the
icon, enter Credit Limit Setup, and then choose the related link. - Activate the Active field.
To add Credit Limit to a customer
The Credit Limit app changes the behaviour Credit Limit (LCY) field on the Customer Card page. Choose a customer and choose the Customer Credit Limit action.
The FastTab
- General is used for information about the manager, insurer and the basic credit limit.
- Credit Limit Information is used for a more complex calculation of the credit limit.
- Outstanding Amount is used for information about this customers credit.
- Customer Actions gives information about the taken customer actions.
General
The field
- Credit Manager Code defines, which user is responsible for the credit limit of this customer.
- Credit insurer code defines, which credit insurer is responsible for the credit of this customer.
- Credit Limit (LCY) defines the credit limit for this customer; this is the standard BC field.
Credit Limit Information
The field
- Credit Limit Type defines the credit limit calculation method for the customer.
- No Limit: There is no credit limit for the customer.
- Limit: The credit limit is calculated based on the customer's balance and the credit limit.
- Own Review: The Credit Manager has to review the credit limit manually.
- Check: Check together with the Credit Insurer whether the customer has enough credit.
- Group: The credit limit is calculated based on the group's credit limit.
- Top up Cover: Has to be enabled in the Credit Limit Setup. This specifies a special insurance which is only active for a limited time. The time until and amount are defined in the Top up Cover Due Date and Top up Cover Amount fields.
The amount in the Checksum credit limit is the final value of the credit limit for this customer.
To take actions regarding the credit limit
Customer Actions can be used to write down actions that have to be taken for a customer regarding the credit limit. These actions can be assigned to a user and a due date can be set.
To analyze the credit limit data
The Credit Limit app adds a page to analyze the credit limit and customer balance data of the customers.
- Choose the
icon, enter Customer Credit Limit Analysis, and then choose the related link. - Activate the Active field.
To initially calculate the analysis, choose the Calculate Analysis action. To recalculate the analysis, you can use this action again, but for a fast recalculation of only the amount, choose the Recalculate Amount action. You can also take Customer Actions from this page via the action.
