The Credit Limit app consists of setting up the credit limit data for the customers and analyzing it. The logic of the Credit Limit (Lcy) field on the customer page is replaced by the credit limit logic.

To access Credit Limit data for customers

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Customers, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the desired customer card.
  3. Choose the Home tab, and then choose the Customer Credit Limit action.

To open all Customer Credit Limit information, choose the Customer Credit Limits action with the Search.

Credit Limit Information

The information in Credit Limit Information FastTab is used to calculate the credit limit for the customer.

Notable fields are:

  • Credit Limit Type: There are five different credit limit types. The credit limit type is used to define the credit limit calculation method for the customer. The credit limit type is assigned in the Customer Credit Limit Card.
    • No Limit: There is no credit limit for the customer.
    • Limit: The credit limit is calculated based on the customer's balance and the credit limit.
    • Own Review: The Credit Manager has to review the credit limit manually.
    • Check: Check together with the Credit Insurer whether the customer has enough credit.
    • Group: The credit limit is calculated based on the group's credit limit.
  • Private insurance not assured: A special limit on top of the insured limit that can be given to the customer.
  • Top up Cover: Has to be enabled in the Credit Limit Setup. This specifies a special insurance which is only active for a limited time. The time until and amount are defined in the Top up Cover Due Date and Top up Cover Amount fields.

To analyze the credit limit data

In order to view an analysis of the customer credit limit, choose the Search icon, enter Customer Credit Limit Analysis, and then choose the related link.

To initially calculate the analysis, choose the Calculate Analysis action. To recalculate the analysis, you can use this action again, but for a fast recalculation of only the amount, choose the Recalculate Amount action.

Notable fields are:

  • Actual Insurance Balance
  • Uncovered Risk
Note

To switch between displaying the credit limit and the balance, choose the action Show Customer Balance / Show Credit Limit.

Customer Actions

Customer Actions can be used to write down actions that have to be taken for a customer regarding the credit limit. These actions can be assigned to a user and a due date can be set. The Document No. field is optional.

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Customer Actions, and then choose the related link.
  2. Choose the View/Edit action to open the specific customer action.
  3. Set an Action Type to be able to specify information and comments to the customer action.

If the action is black in the overview it is still to be performed. It turns green, when the field Closed is marked. Customer Actions can directly be created from the Customer Credit Limit Analysis page.

Tip

Choose the Create Email action to directly create an email for the customer action which will be sent to the specified Contact No..

Note

When a Customer Action is created, a user task is also created for the assigned user. The user can mark the action as completed here. The customer action is then also closed.
