Set up Complaint Actions

To solve Complaints it is useful to determine which follow-up actions should be taken. For example, the Item should be picked up and returned or a replacement should be sent. To automatically create follow-up documents from a Complaint, you can set up Complaint Actions.

When installing Complaint Management, these Complaint Actions are automatically created:

  • PICKUPANDRETURN: When selecting this Action Code in a Complaint about a Sales document and clicking on Create Follow-Up, a Sales Order and Sales Return Order are created automatically based on the Sales document and Lines in the Complaint.
  • REDELIVERPURCHASE: When selecting this Action Code in a Complaint about a Purchase document and clicking on Create Follow-Up, a Purchase Order and Purchase Return Order are created automatically based on the Purchase document and Lines in the Complaint.
  • REDELIVERSALES: When selecting this Action Code in a Complaint about a Sales document and clicking on Create Follow-Up, a Sales Order and Sales Return Order are created automatically based on the Sales document and Lines in the Complaint.
  • RETURNSHIPMENT: When selecting this Action Code in a Complaint about a Purchase document and clicking on Create Follow-Up, a Purchase Return Order is created automatically based on the Purchase document and Lines in the Complaint.

Customize Complaint Actions

  1. Select the Search icon, enter Complaint Setup, and then choose the related link.
  2. In the top menu click on Actions.
  3. In the window that opens, you find the above mentioned Complaint Actions and see the available customization options.
  4. Here you can also create new Complaint Actions by clicking on New in the top menu.
