Special Features
The name of the layout entered in the layout
field is stored in the BOM Calculation Template List
. Thus, this layout will be used when creating packing material with the BOM Calculation Template.
If the 3-Dimensional
option is entered in the Configurator Mode
field, a crate can be created, for example. With the 2-Dimensional
option, on the other hand, container floors or pallets can be created.
In addition, the calculation of the height differs for both modes. In the 3-Dimensional
option, the external height is calculated using the specified internal height and the height of the base and lid components.
In the 2-Dimensional
option, the heights of the components are added up and displayed as the external height in the Summary
tab.
When the checkmark in the field Display Packaged Weight
is activated, it is possible to specify a maximum packed weight. If this weight is exceeded in the package planning, the user will receive a message that the weight of the packaged is heavier than the maximum permitted value and that action is therefore required here.
