Photo Documentation

The Photo Documentation offers the possibility to create and store photos of desired processes/materials. These can then be retrieved for the customer or for the insurance company in the system on the associated record, in the acadon document archive doc.box.

To start the photo documentation in acadon_mobile, a barcode is scanned first. Barcodes can be found, among other things, on the packaging and packaging material labels, as well as on the receipts of the packaging and the container stowage. After a barcode has been scanned or manually typed, any number of photos can be taken. Each photo taken can be confirmed or rejected. If a photo is rejected, a new one can be taken directly. After the photos are taken, they are transferred to the system.

The photos are now archived in the respective data record in the doc.box and can be used and viewed. In addition, it is possible to automatically start the photo documentation for various actions in the acadon_mobile, such as the packaging warehouse receipt. Since the photo documentation is then included in the process, the process can only be completed after the photo has been taken.

Photo documentation setup in Business Central

Via the acadon MDE setup, the Photo documentation setup can be called up in the actions. Here it can be set up in which tables are to be searched. In addition, the field in the corresponding table is also specified here.

For each line in the Photo documentation setup, it is possible to specify in which table and in which field a matching entry is to be searched for. Here it is important that the search stops after the first matching hit, i.e. the further the table with the field is up, the earlier it is checked whether there is a matching entry. If there is this hit, the remaining tables with their fields in the Photo documentation setup are ignored. The photo documentation can also be integrated into the process steps as standard. In the MDE profile Business Central it is possible to specify these steps via the photo documentation additional number. If the checkboxes there are filled with a checkmark, the photo documentation in acadon_mobile opens automatically.

Using the Photo Documentation

In the photo documentation you can specify a value that was previously entered in the Photo documentation setup. After that, the camera of the device opens immediately and it is possible to take a photo of the object. Once the photo is taken, one has the possibility to take another photo by using the Photo button in the app.

Use the Finish button to end the photo shooting.

Only the last photo will be shown in the view.

The photos taken with acadon_mobile are automatically uploaded and saved to Business Central after finishing. Everything that is transferred from the app to Business Central can be found in the MDE import list. The generated photos are automatically assigned to the corresponding item found with the scanned code and stored in the doc.box.

Benefit of photo documentation

The benefit of photo documentation lies in the fact that many work steps can be recorded photo-documentarily. For example, it is possible to record that goods were already damaged when they were received. It is thus possible to document everything that happens to the items with a photo.

The photos can be made available to the customer for further use.
