Measurement (internal)

The Measurement (internal) module allows to enter the dimensions of a Packing Good using the MDE device.

Fast recording of the dimensions of Packing Goods.

Setup

To be able to use this function, the module must be set up in the profiles. The following steps are necessary:

  1. Search for acadon mobile setup with 🔍.
  2. Open Profiles in the actions.
  3. Select the line of the corresponding profile.
  4. Click New in the actions.
  5. Click on the arrow in the field Module Name.
  6. Select the module Measurement (internal).

Use in Business Central

In order to use the Measurement (internal) with acadon_mobile app, an approved Measurement Order must exist in Buisness Central with the corresponding Packing Goods. After the Measurement (internal) has been carried out with acadon_mobile, the corresponding dimensions and descriptions are stored in the measurement order lines. The Measurement Order can then be set to 'Registered' or 'Finished'.

Use in acadon_mobile

The following steps are necessary to carry out an Measurement (internal):

  1. Select the Measurement (internal) module via the menu in the acadon_mobile app.
  2. Select the relevant Measurement order in the overview.
  3. Alternatively, search for and select the Measurement Order No. in the 'Scan...' field.
  4. Now select the corresponding Packing Good No.
  5. Enter the dimensions of the Packing Good in the fields Length, Width and Height.
  6. Enter the weight in the Weight field.
  7. A description can be added in the Description field.
  8. If necessary, a group can be entered in the Group field.
  9. If the goods are Dangerous goods, an option can be selected in the Dangerous goods code field.
  10. Confirm the entry with Next.
  11. Finalize the Measurement (internal) with Complete.
