General information

The General Information offers the possibility to retrieve information, for example on parcels, packaged goods or packaging materials, by scanning a barcode. However, it is not only information on processes with barcodes that can be retrieved. It is also possible to view information on a customer in PackApp by entering, for example, the customer number. The data that can be retrieved can be stored in a setup in Business Central. If there is a barcode for this, it can also be scanned.

Setup Business Central

To use the General Information the setup has to be done first. Via the 'acadon MDE Setup', the 'General Info Search Setup' can be called up in the actions. Here you can set up in which tables should be searched. In addition, the field in the corresponding table is also specified here.

For each line in the General Info Search Setup, you can also specify which fields are to be displayed in the Packapp after the search. This can be done in the actions, in the 'Data Field Mapping'.

Note

The General Information can only be used in the Packapp if it is set up in the profile.

Use acadon_mobile

The General Information can be called up in the menu. In the search field you can now search for the values that have been referred in the setup.

When searching in acadon_mobile, the first hit from the General Info Search Setup sequence is displayed.
