What are Price Lists for Storage Fees?

The Storage fee price lists define the cost calculation. The calculation can be set for all customers, a specific customer, or even a specific Packaging Project. The search function can be used to call up the **Storage Fee Price List**.

Setting up Price Lists for Storage Fees

The basic information is entered at the top of a Storage Fee Price List. The Code usually corresponds to the Price List number series from the Packaging Setup. A unique Description is then entered. The specific customer or packaging project is entered in the Settlement with type and Settlement with no. fields. In the Status field, the Price List is set to Draft for editing or to Active when activated; if the Price List is to remain permanently inactive, the status must be set to Inactive. Furthermore, the Start/End Date should be set for specific billing periods. In addition, the Price Calculation Method and the desired Storage Fee Free Time Code are specified. The Storage Fee Free Time Code defines the period for which no Storage Fees are to be calculated. Now all that remains is to fill in the lines.

Note

If you want to change a Storage Fee Price List afterwards, the status must first be set to Draft.

The lines contain the Storage Fee type, the inventory location type, the location type, the location sub code, the description, the packaging classification code, the code for the charge-free period and the unit price. The individual columns are explained below.

Field Description
Storage Fee Type Is divided into three options -> Price, Charge % & Charge fix.
Price A basic price that applies to all locations.
Charge % This is for the customers who would like to have permanent access to the storage location of their inventory. This calculates the additional space around the inventory based on the set percentage. Example: 10% additional space is charged to customer X in addition to the unit price.
Charge fix A basic fee that should always be added as a surcharge.
Inventory Location Type Here you can specify whether the previously selected Storage Type is defined for a specific location or for all locations.
Location Code This allows you to determine the exact warehouse for which the Storage Fee Price List is valid.
Location Sub Code With the help of this setup, additional attributes can be added to the previously selected location, such as Warehouse Receipts.
Packaging Classification Code This setting can be used, for example, to mark certain types of packaging as hazardous goods and thus invoice them separately. Furthermore, a packaging classification code can also be used to create lines specifically for packaged goods, packaging materials, or containers in order to differentiate the calculation based on these attributes.
Storage Free Time Code Here you can specify the period for which no Storage Fees will be charged. This period is usually the same as the period specified in the header of the Storage Fee Price List. However, if you need different Storage Fee Free Periods for individual lines, do not fill in the Storage Fee Free Period Code field in the header. Instead, create individual codes for each line and enter this information in the column.
Unit price Individual prices can be used to determine the basis on which the calculation should be made, depending on the price calculation method determined in the header. (e.g. per day, per SQM, per CBM)
