Mahogany Release

Thank you for exploring our Mahogany Release. In the following sections, we aim to provide you with an overview of the exciting new features enabled by this update.

The Release is available from February 2026.

Technical Details

The Mahogany Release is based on Microsoft Business Central Version 27. As a result, there are adjustments to the system requirements. Please refer to the complete list of system requirements for BC27.

Relevant changes compared to BC26: Windows 10 is removed from the list of supported operating systems

The Mahogany Version is based on Microsoft Business Central (BC) Version 27. This version introduces numerous new features for you to check out. You can find the full list here.

Permission Changes

Throughout the Release Wave, we have added some objects. Custom permission sets need to be updated to include these objects. The following table objects have been added in this release:

Automatically Activated Features

The following acadon Features are now officially available. For a list of MS activated features, follow this link.

Automatic Activation

In this release wave, we have implemented a new logic to automatically activate features.

  • Upcoming features are now automatically activated when
    • Installing Timber
    • Creating a new company.
Note

In both cases it is limited to features that can be deactivated.

Note

When a new company is created, only Features that are already active in other companies will be enabled.

Update Checklist

This is a major update and may contain breaking changes. Some of these changes require manual actions. Please carefully review this checklist for each environment before proceeding with the update.

Important

If you upgrade from earlier Versions, please read the update checklist/breaking changes of all versions that you skip as well. In this list you will only find the changes that are relevant if you update from Lemontree to Mahogany.

Required Actions

  • Please make sure to check the permission sets if custom permission sets are used.
  • Make sure that custom apps work with the new automatically activated features.
  • Apps that are dependent on Timber and have already used namespaces need to be adjusted. Any new update from these apps will fail.
  • If you are using the Mail Logging, there is a breaking change in the docbox. See here for details: Changelog

Recommended Actions

  • Use Upcoming Features and provide Feedback. To do so, open the acadon Upcoming Features page and use the Enable action.

Check Service Tier Configuration Introduced with BC27, there are the following changes made to On-Prem services:

  • EnforceUserPathForAlFileOperations: This is now set to true by default. That means that data is only saved in the User folder (Blob.Export). This causes problems for Document Capture on On-Prem services and should be considered. Official Microsoft documentation can be found here: Configure Business Central Server
  • NavHttpClientAntiSSRFAllowedAddresses: A list of all the local addresses that are able to receive http requests. Official Microsoft documentation can be found here: Anti-SSRF validation
  • NavHttpClientAntiSSRFEnabled: When this is activated, http requests can no longer be sent to local addresses. Official Microsoft documentation can be found here: Anti-SSRF validation
